Room-level cleaning
Treatment Room Cleaning
Treatment rooms are cleaned to a task list, in a set order, with equipment that has not been used in a general area. That is the difference between a room that looks clean and a room that has actually been cleaned properly.
- Fresh cloths per room, colour-coded by area type
- Cleanest-to-dirtiest sequencing within each room
- Examination couches, plinths, benches, basins and bin stations
- Floors including under and behind furniture on a set rotation
Standard treatment room task list
- Examination couch or plinth — frame, base, adjustment levers, vinyl surfaces
- Bench tops, cabinetry fronts and drawer handles
- Basin, tap set, soap and sanitiser dispensers, paper towel holder
- Door hardware, light switches, curtain pulls and privacy screens
- Waste and sharps bin exteriors and stands
- Chairs, stools and patient-facing furniture
- Floors — vacuum or sweep, then damp mop with the correct dilution
Why sequencing matters
Working from clean surfaces toward dirty ones, and from high surfaces to low, stops soil being moved back onto areas already cleaned. It sounds obvious; it is the first thing that slips when a clean is rushed.
Sequencing is written into the room task list rather than left to memory, so a relief cleaner delivers the same result as your regular one.
